Introduction to Medicine

A chance for students to find out what it's like to study medicine and pursue a career in the field
Course objectives:
  • To explore some of the different disciplines involved in studying for a medical degree

  • To gain an insight into what a doctor does

  • To provide support and advice on applying to medical schools and interviews
  • Students must be studying Biology and Chemistry at A-level, with an interest in health and the human body and considering a career in medicine

Course format
  • The course will be delivered using a variety of methods, including lectures, workshops, presentations, and class discussions
  • In addition there will be an opportunity to visit a medical school and participate in some workshops
Course tutors

The course will be delivered by members of the Brighton and Sussex Medical School.

Costs
With thanks to our supporters, the costs of our courses are subsidized. The price of £325 includes accommodation, tutoring, trips and all meals. 

Students at fee paying schools will need to pay the full cost of £739.
