Mathematics: Chaos or Clear Cut?

Over thee days, consider the nature of proof and the extent to which Mathematics can provide clear cut answers to nature, the universe and life!

This course sets out to inspire and challenge you in a non-competitive environment, mixing with like-minded students from across the UK and tutored by two subject experts. Participation can be acknowledged under Preparation for HE on your UCAS application form.

Course format
  • This course will be delivered using a variety of methods including interactive lectures, presentations and group discussions.
  • There will be an opportunity for students to carry out some problem solving and to present their conclusions.

  • A guest speaker will be included.


Paul Cook gained his PhD in Acoustics from the University of Cambridge and has tutored on our residential courses for over ten years. He is a contract engineer in digital signal processing.

With thanks to our supporters, the costs of our courses are subsidized. The price of £200 per person includes accommodation, tutoring and all meals.
