We offer additional guidance to students applying for highly competitive courses, such as Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine and and the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. In 2023/24, 34 Future Leaders joined our Early Entry Programme, receiving tailored support to navigate decision making and make competitive applications.

The programme is designed to deliver accurate information about these applications and develop three core areas: Super-Curriculars (Super-curricular activities are educational activities which go above and beyond the school curriculum); application process; interview technique and skills.

Russell, an Oxford physics graduate from Hastings, has been helping to demystify the application process for current Villiers Park students, and helping them to prepare for the interviews and standardised tests:

“The feedback’s been really good. I’ve witnessed some beautiful moments where it suddenly clicks for students. That helps us to know we’re on the right track. You shouldn’t be disadvantaged just because of the school you’ve been to or where you’re from. The early entry work helps to level the playing field for state school students who could thrive one one of these courses.”
