Supporting young people to become agents of change
Why Leadership Challenge?
Designed and led by students, Leadership Challenge enables young people to explore their interests and experience success through the development and delivery of a project with impact for their communities and peers.
Completing the project provides opportunities for students to have new experiences, while building confidence and developing a range of employability skills.
Student Journey
Completing a Leadership Challenge project supports young people to become agents of change, achieving awards determined by individual development and impact on the school community.
Our Projects
Past projects have included everything from well being days, dance and drama clubs, environmental surveys and more!
Pond Cleaning in Norwich
Year 12 Future Leaders got stuck into their project, which over four weeks aimed to improve and maintain the school’s garden area, including a pond and allotment, to make it more enjoyable for their community.
With the pond being particularly overgrown, the students worked together to improve the habitat for the resident wildlife and even rescued a frog!
Exploring Art in Swindon
Year 10 Future Leaders from Swindon set up an extracurricular art club at their school to introduce a creative space that allowed younger students to meet new friends and explore art and sculpture.
The weekly sessions were well attended and evaluation showed the value of this project to the school, with multiple five star reviews from students.
