Why We Exist
We believe every young person should have an equal opportunity to reach their potential.
Our Why
In the UK today, a young person’s background too often determines their future.
We aim to empower young people to make confident and informed choices about their future, whatever that might be, including university, apprenticeships, training and employment.
Young people are at the heart of our work. We live our values of fairness, aspiration, empowerment and courage through everything we do, from our programmes and partnerships to a culture of collaboration and mutual support with colleagues and volunteers.

Young people in the schools we work in are eligible for free school meals, with this figure rising sharply since the pandemic
Recent research highlights that young people from under-represented backgrounds remain much less likely to progress to university - and if they get there, the risk of dropping out is almost double.

of higher or degree apprenticeships are accessed by students from more privileged backgrounds.
The Issue
Social mobility in the UK remains a significant challenge in the UK, with the impact of the pandemic and cost-of-living crisis continuing to be felt by young people and their families. The young people who join our programmes are just as ambitious as their peers, but they face more barriers, fewer resources and limited access to opportunities. These barriers don’t just hold back individuals—they affect families, communities, and the wider economy.
At Villiers Park, we are committed to building a fairer, more equitable future. By empowering young people today, we’re shaping stronger communities and a more inclusive society for everyone.
