Villiers Park Welcomes Three New Trustees
Villiers Park announces the appointment of Nikson Ma, Helen Slater and Hollie Smith Charles to its Board of Trustees.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of three new members to our Board of trustees.
Nikson Ma, Helen Slater and Hollie Smith Charles have joined the board of trustees at a crucial period for the charity, as we continue to implement our Beyond Barriers strategy, which aims to double our reach over the next five years so that we can reach more young people from under-represented backgrounds across the country.
- Nikson Ma comes to Villiers Park with more than 30 years of international leadership experience in finance and investment, corporate governance, treasury and risk management, corporate banking, and strategic management.
- Helen Slater is Interim Principal RADA and Managing Director of RADA Business, where she leads on strategy, commercial development, financial resilience and operations.
- Hollie Smith-Charles, an alum of a Villiers Park residential and Director, Creative Health and Change, of Arts Council England, has held roles across fundraising, producing and executive leadership with Birmingham Museums, Create Gloucestershire, the Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy Programme and Gloucester Culture Trust.
Dr Desmond Birmingham, Chair of Trustees at Villiers Park said:
"We are thrilled to welcome three exceptional new Trustees to Villiers Park. Nikson, Helen and Hollie each bring unique skills and experiences that will strengthen our board and help us support even more ambitious young people to fulfil their potential."
Gaby Sumner, Chief Executive at Villiers Park said:
"At a time when social mobility remains a significant challenge, rising numbers of young people are at risk of being left behind. In the last academic year, we have continued to extend the reach of the Future Leaders Programme, delivering 1,460 hours of one to one coaching for 500 Future Leaders, as well as supporting young people to lead nearly100 social action projects. This support, and the encouragement and opportunities we create in collaboration with our funders and partners, can be truly life changing.
“As Villiers Park continues the implementation of our Beyond Barriers strategy, I am delighted to welcome Nikson, Helen and Hollie to our Board. Their expertise will be invaluable as we work towards our ambition of reaching even more young people across the country."
