Exploring the University of Gloucestershire
We returned to the University of Gloucestershire for the third time this April. Students took part in a structured and engaging university insight day designed to build their knowledge, confidence and understanding of future pathways.
We kicked of the day with a welcome session and interactive “Test Your Knowledge” activity, students were encouraged to challenge their existing perceptions of higher education and begin thinking more about their options.
We also had the opportunity to conduct a mock trial in the dedicated court room at the university. This was followed by a guided campus tour led by student ambassadors gave learners a real sense of university life, facilities and support available, helping to make university feel more accessible and achievable.
The visit concluded with a Student Life Q&A, where students gained honest insights into university life, accommodation, workload and support systems.
Overall, the day increased students’ awareness of higher education, improved their understanding of subject-specific study, and boosted their confidence and motivation to consider university as a realistic and achievable future option.
